Hello everyone my name is Maira Moran-Naveda and I will be LBSA’s BICC Representative for the 2025-2026 school year! I am majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance. I come from Thermal, CA which is a small town in the eastern part of the Coachella Valley! I transferred to CSUF in Fall 2024 from my community college, College of the Desert. My favorite LBSA memory was attending their first general meeting in the Spring because there was a sense of community amongst the club and it felt like a warm welcome!

Something about me is that I am really passionate about music and I listen to pretty much anything under the sun like banda, corridos, R&B and Spanish pop (the list of genres is very long but I really do listen to almost everything). That being said, I grew up listening to Spanish music and my favorite artists are Camila, Julieta Venegas, and Ximena Sariñana, but I am such a die hard for Spanish rock bands too!

I enjoy cooking whenever I can and my favorite things to cook are one pot meals because they are the easiest things to make in my opinion. My all time favorite meal is lentils with vegetables with a grilled cheese sandwich on the side because they are a childhood comfort food (it’s the most delicious dish ever too, I promise!). I love being a part of potlucks because what I like most about cooking is being able to share a meal with friends and family!
